Protesters were arrested outside Sen. Chuck Schumer’s, D-N.Y., New York City apartment on Friday night, Fox News Digital has confirmed.  The arrests took place during a pro-Palestinian protest outside the senator’s apartment. Schumer is expected to travel to Israel as part of a bipartisan CODEL trip this weekend. A police spokesman didn’t say how many people were arrested. The protest took place after a number of pro-Palestinian demonstrations across the city.

The first U.S. flight evacuating American citizens out of war-torn Israel landed in Greece on Friday, a State Department official confirmed. Matthew Miller, a State Department spokesperson, shared the news on X, saying that the first chartered flight landed in Athens. “While many U.S. citizens are departing Israel on commercial transportation, the State Department is chartering flights to provide additional options and capacity,” Miller wrote.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., are floating a potential debate in New Hampshire. The potential showdown was suggested this week after Ramaswamy slammed the Republican National Committee for halting a joint appearance with GOP rival Chris Christie on FOX News’ “Special Report” over alleged violation of the GOP debate rules.

A group of moderate Democrat lawmakers offered a deal to House Speaker Pro Tempore Patrick McHenry, R-N.C., to expand his powers in exchange for more bills on the floor. Four House Democrats from the embattled bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus sent a letter to McHenry saying the House selected a speaker pro-tempore “with very limited authority” after former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s historic ouster last week.
