Biden ‘strongly opposes’ resolution ending COVID-19 national emergency, but won’t veto it after Senate vote

The U.S. Senate passed a resolution on Wednesday ending the COVID-19 national emergency that was declared over three years ago, sending the bill to President Biden’s desk.  HJ Res 7 passed 68-23 with broad bipartisan support, as 21 Democrats joined 47 Republicans in voting in favor of it. Four Republicans and five Democrats did not vote, while 23 Democrats voted against it.  The short resolution, introduced by Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz.

Josh Hawley told Fox News on Tuesday.  The Trans Resistance Network, a trans activist group, said the transgender shooter felt “no other effective way to be seen” than by killing six people at a private Presbyterian school.

Texas committee moves forward on bans on public library ‘Drag Queen Story Hour,’ drag shows with kids present

A Texas Senate committee is sending two bills placing restrictions on drag shows to the Senate floor, putting them up for a vote, according to reports. FOX 4 in Dallas reported that the bills made it through the senate committee, green lighting them for further action. One of the bills, SB12, restricts some sexually-oriented performances on public property, at a commercial enterprise or in the presence of a minor.
